Sept 20th PEPAir reported:

It is with sorrow and dismay, that I report the search for the missing RV6 from Edmonton to Chilliwack has come to a close at this time. We will however use this area in our future training plans with the hopes of bringing a close to this event.

442 Squadron had 2 Buffalo, 2 Cormorants and PEP Air had 8 Civil Aircraft per day flying out of Kamloops. The PEP Air Aircraft came in from all over the Province for a total of 15 different Aircraft and Crews.

Our heartfelt condolence to the families and friends of the missing in this SAR.

A combination of Military and PEPAir aircraft & crew  flew over 360 hours covering some 14,000 square kilometers in challenging conditions as part of the this Search.  Thanks to everyone involved, including all the ground support crews.  Vancouver Island Zone volunteers were a part of the support crew working out of JRCC, in Victoria.
