When a fishing boat capsized off Tofino in the early hours of June 15th there was an urgent need to transport Ground Search Managers from their east coast locations to the accident site.  JRCC tasked CASARA Nanaimo to provide this critical logistical exercise.

CFBXA and it’s Pilot, John Lamb, did not hesitate to respond. CFBXA flew a total of 8 flights that day ferrying GSAR personnel to and from Tofino providing the essential manpower resources to help manage the such a complex operation.
