Two consecutive days, a total of 4 separate flights, August 14th & 15th. Doing what …. looking for targets that have been set by members in a variety of places anywhere between Nanaimo & Bowser. The targets often made to look like crashed aircraft and not necessarily in the middle of open spaces.  Flight crews are given specific geographical areas within which to search. The areas are generally between 20 x 30 kms in size.

The attached image identifies one such target, from the air.  Easy ?  Now imagine yourself at perhaps 1000′ feet and traveling at 166 km/hr !    Spotters are our “eyes in the sky”, and good at it !
